Description
Aluminum wires and rods with 5% silicon content for MIG and TIG welding of Al-Si and Al-Mg-Si alloys containing up to 7% silicon. Not recommended for joining components subjected to anodizing. The silicon alloying addition increases the fluidity of the weld pool and the ability to wet the edges of the material, making welding easier.
The weld has medium strength but is characterized by good resistance to thermal cracking.
The welding area must be cleaned to a metallic shine.
