WELDING OF STAINLESS PIPES:

SPARTUS PROTIG 220 AC/DC is a digitally controlled inverter welding machine based on IGBT transistors. It allows TIG AC/DC and MMA AC/DC welding with current up to 200A. The device is powered by a 230V one-phase network. 

Thanks to the solutions used, the PROTIG 220P AC/DC also enables advanced TIG AC and TIG DC welding with a choice of arc ignition method: TIG HF (by radio frequency) and TIG Lift (by friction). The device is equipped with a pulse welding function, which makes the machine perfect for welding very thin sheets and aluminum.

The welding machine has an intuitive control panel that ensures fast navigation through the functions. For suitable welding processes, the adjustment range of the welding current is between 5-200A (AC) and 5-200A (DC). The TIG-AC welding mode with selectable output AC waveforms (square, sinusoidal, triangular), AC balance, AC frequency, pulse frequency, pulse width, and pulse amps adjustment, enables welding of the most demanding aluminium alloys. 

The device has high efficiency:

• 60% at an ambient temperature of 25° C
• 40% at an ambient temperature of 40° C

2T-4T are welding modes that make it easier to work on short and long welding distances. The 2T mode is used for welding short distances, as the arc is switched off after disconnecting the micro switch. In 4T mode, we do not have to hold the micro switch constantly while welding, but only click a second time to turn off the arc automatically.

PRE-GAS allows faster arc ignition at the start, both at low and high values of welding current. An indispensable function for point joining of thin and thick elements. Gas flow time is adjustable from 0-2 sec.

POST-GAS allows faster cooling of the connection and the tungsten electrode. The gas flow time is adjustable from 0.1-10 sec.

TIG PULS MODE makes it possible to weld very thin materials of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. The minimum pulse current is 5 A. The pulse control range is from 0.5 - 250Hz.

AC FREQUENCY is adjustable in the range of 50-250Hz. The function is responsible for narrowing the arc and faster penetration of the welded material.

AC WAVES selectable from the control panel are responsible for changing the AC properties. The principle of operation and selection of a wave is presented in the video above. Choosing the waveform of the alternating current allows a quick adjustment of the welding machine for welding thick and thin materials.

HOW THE TIG PULS FUNCTION WORKS:

DINSE STANDARD allows the use of different TIG handles. We can use handles with a length of up to 24 m. 

AC BALANCE wide range of 10-99 is responsible for the cleanliness of welds in aluminum welding. The function is responsible for the heat input into the material and the cleaning of oxides on the aluminum surface.

MULTI-CONTROL in the device we can use handles with UP&DOWN adjustment and foot control with smooth regulation of the welding current. The foot control can be wired or wireless.

HOT START is a momentary increase of the welding current at the moment when the arc is struck. This prevents the electrode from sticking in the initial phase of welding. This feature allows a faster invasion of the arc with rutile and base electrodes.

ARC FORCE dynamics shorten the arc length while increasing the welding current, which prevents arc extinction when the electrode comes into contact with the welding material. This function facilitates learning MMA welding.

TIGLIFT enables the welding of steel in places where HF welding is impossible.

The SPARTUS Pro 330XT welding helmet was designed to protect the eyes and face of the welder against harmful radiation and welding spatter during welding  TIG, MIG/MAG, and MMA welding. Additionally, it has a grinding function.
